Hey!
I am Meghan, wife, mom, jack of all trades! I have 2 daughters who have changed my life completely, and have made the Scentsy journey one we will stay on for life!
You don't realize how much your life will change when you have kids- no one really gives up that info. What is even harder is how your life changes when you have a child with special needs. My second daughter was born with Treacher Collins Syndrome, the genetic disorder featured in the book and movie Wonder. The shock I felt at her birth was nothing compared to the changes we had to go through to make life work.
She came home on oxygen, a feeding tube, a multitude of machines that checked her levels at night. When you are a candle lover who uses them to relax, bringing home a baby on oxygen makes that something you have to give up. This is where my love of Scentsy was reinforced. I had already been using Scentsy products for a few years as I found out about the company when I gave birth to my oldest, but they hadn't taken over our home yet.
After my daughter was a year and a half old and had gone through numerous medical visits, we were finally gearing up for her biggest procedure to date. I was going to have to take time off of my job to stay with her in the hospital and be available to her for her recovery time. I had worked in my job for 9 years at that point, but had been laid off twice, so there wasn't any stability there. I wanted to make sure there was an income stream I could bring to our home that I could do from anywhere as hospital stays are a very common thing in our home. Scentsy has been a godsend for this. I am able to work from my phone and laptop wherever I am.
When covid hit, I was in one of the first places in Chicago to be contaminated. I have worked in The Chicago public school system for over 10 years as a sign language interpreter and we were the first to shut down. Shortly after, the rest of the state went on Quarantine. Unfortunately my husband lost his job of over 12 years due to Covid, so having Scentsy as a way to make money has truly been a blessing to us. Without the extra income every month it would be difficult to make ends meet.
